Warehouse Operative

Hours: 36–40 hours per week, 7.30am–4.30pm Monday–Thursday, with an early finish on Fridays
Kenect Recruitment are seeking a reliable, hardworking and organised Storesperson / Warehouse Operative to join our client’s team in Toome.
This is a hands-on warehouse role suited to someone with previous experience in a stores, warehouse, manufacturing or production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, storage and movement of materials, while supporting the smooth running of day-to-day warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, check and store incoming materials and components
- Pick and prepare materials for production and dispatch
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently
- Operate a counterbalance forklift to move stock and materials around the site
- Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with stock checks
- Keep the warehouse, stores and work areas clean, tidy and organised
- Safely handle and move heavy or bulky materials
- Ensure goods are correctly labelled, stored and easily accessible
- Support production teams by ensuring materials are available when required
- Complete relevant paperwork and follow company procedures
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or manufacturing environment preferred
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence preferred but not essential
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking approach
- Good communication skills
