Operational Risk Manager / Assistant Manager – Risk Management

We are looking for an experienced Operational Risk Manager to support Risk Management functions and work closely with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in managing enterprise-wide risk activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Board Risk Committee & Executive Risk Committee activities
Prepare risk committee meeting packs and risk reports
Maintain and enhance Risk Management Framework components
Monitor & report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
Organise and facilitate Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) workshops
Oversee Risk Control Monitoring Plan (RCMP) testing and progress reporting
Manage operational risk events, root cause analysis, tracking & closure
Monitor audit/review risk issues and validate remediation actions
Oversee operational risks covering people, processes, systems and external events
Focus on technology risk, operational resilience & information security risk
Support CRO with key projects and departmental initiatives
Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Legal or related functions
Strong Operational Risk Management expertise within UK Financial Services
Experience in Wholesale / Retail / Corporate Banking and/or Payments industry preferred
Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence to challenge senior stakeholders
Excellent analytical, reporting, communication & presentation skills
Advanced MS Office skills with strong attention to detail
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (minimum requirement)
Relevant professional risk qualifications/memberships preferred
Pay: £200.00-£400.00 per day
