Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Tanker Driver to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating tanker vehicles to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring compliance with all safety and traffic regulations. Duties
- Safely operate tanker vehicles to transport fuels to designated destinations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered en route.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained throughout shifts.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Delivery driver experience preferred, with a strong understanding of route planning and time management.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating large commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to transporting hazardous or bulk materials is advantageous.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines is beneficial but not essential. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safe driving practices, punctuality, and excellent customer service standards.
