Hardscape Products Ltd are looking to recruit a skilled or semi-skilled Materials Coordinator at our manufacturing facility in Bolton.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Materials Coordinator (MC) is responsible for coordinating the businesses product samples. In addition to taking ownership of the companies central Materials Lab the Materials Coordinator facilitates requests from the sales team, picking, packing and shipping samples. The role requires a focused and organised coordinator who can respond accurately and quickly to support sales growth.
This role involves:
- Processing sample requests from the Sales team.
- Continuous learning to grow a valuable understanding of material types and finishes.
- Carry out stock checks to manage stock levels
- Liaising with suppliers via e-mail/phone to secure the samples needed.
- Liaise with the logistics team to organize incoming samples.
- Keep the materials lab, storage areas, and workstation clean, presentable, and organized.
- Using computers – Excel, Outlook and internal systems (CRM, PIM, Website etc.)
- Prepare and pack materials ready to ship to customers.
- Use web portals to book and track courier movements.
- Make sample boards to specific requested layouts.
- Understand organization culture to be able to make correct decisions.
- Support the onboarding process.
- Cutting larger materials into smaller size samples on small diamond blade bridge saw.
- Use of Forklift when moving pallets of samples around (Full Training can be supplied by Hardscape)
- Working hours: Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm, Fri 7am-2:30pm
