Sticky Faces Nursery is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join our friendly team from 7th September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children and would like to start their Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience in a welcoming nursery setting.

12:00pm – 5:00pm
Term-time only
As an apprentice, you will support children's learning and development through play, help create a safe and nurturing environment, work alongside experienced practitioners, and build your knowledge and skills while completing your qualification.

Duties
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years.
- Support children's learning and play, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff and parents as appropriate.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, promoting positive behaviour and social skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Support the implementation of policies related to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and high standards of childcare provision.
- Demonstrate effective communication with children, colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- Contribute to team meetings and ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications
- A genuine passion for working with young children and interest in early childhood education and child development.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating management and leadership potential.
- Organised with good time management skills to balance work duties with training requirements.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times.
- Reliable, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Positive attitude and a good work ethic.
- Able to build warm relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- A commitment to completing the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards the required qualifications if applicable).
Please note: This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. The successful applicant will also be required to complete Paediatric First Aid training, which may take place on a Saturday, along with all mandatory safeguarding and statutory training.
This apprenticeship provides valuable hands-on experience within a supportive environment, fostering professional growth whilst contributing positively to children's early years education.
Salary: Starting from £8.00–£10.00 per hour (depending on experience and suitability) for the first year of the apprenticeship. After the first year, pay will increase in line with the National Minimum Wage applicable to the apprentice's age, in accordance with UK Government guidance.
