We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations and weddings/events
- Develop and innovate menu offerings that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste
- Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and organisational policies
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and optimise inventory management
- Train staff on food preparation techniques, hygiene standards, and service procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Assist in serving customers when required, maintaining a professional and welcoming attitude
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable leadership qualities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Sound knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Experience in food production planning and inventory control
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and suppliers
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business schedule
Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
