Overview
Bridgestone Group are seeking reliable and skilled Trampers to join our client team . The candidate must have experience in tramping and must be able to manage driving hours , the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with the ability to operate various types of vehicles, we can offer day tramping starts between 0500am and 0700am. This role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Please note this is a day rate of £205 a shift plus £25 night out allowance.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Execute timely deliveries and pickups, ensuring that goods are transported in excellent condition.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to load and unload goods as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold a clean driving record while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify vehicle issues and perform minor repairs if necessary.
- Previous warehouse experience is an advantage, particularly in loading and unloading operations.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
