We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Dentist to join our busy NHS dental practice in the heart of Soho. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality NHS general dentistry, providing comprehensive care across a wide range of clinical needs with a strong focus on prevention, restorative treatment, and improving oral health outcomes.
- Provide a compassionate, patient-centred approach, taking the time to understand individual circumstances and delivering tailored treatment plans with professionalism, empathy, and respect.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds through excellent communication, continuity of care, and a commitment to positive patient experiences.
- Work collaboratively with the wider dental team, including dentists, dental nurses, hygienists, therapists, and administrative colleagues, to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records while adhering to the highest standards of clinical governance, GDC regulations, CQC requirements, and infection prevention and control protocols.
- Support the delivery of accessible NHS dental services, including managing urgent care needs and treating patients with complex or high dental needs in a calm and supportive manner.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, keeping clinical knowledge and skills up to date while contributing to a culture of learning, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the practice.
- Commit to delivering a consistent clinical schedule while supporting the needs of the local community and helping improve access to quality NHS dental care.
- Commit to a regular clinical schedule on Fridays, providing consistent and accessible care while supporting the needs of our patient community.
Experience
- Fully qualified Dentist with current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) and the right to work in the UK.
- A strong foundation in general dentistry with the ability to provide safe, effective, and patient-centred NHS dental care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients from a wide range of backgrounds.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting patients with varying levels of dental need and improving oral health outcomes.
- Strong clinical judgement, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary dental team, collaborating with colleagues to deliver efficient and high-quality care.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate clinical records and adhering to GDC standards, CQC requirements, and infection prevention and control protocols.
- A willingness to engage in continuous professional development and further enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude, with the ability to work confidently in a busy NHS dental environment while delivering a positive patient experience.
