Transport Administrator:
An exciting opportunity has risen in our expanding business for a professional, motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our dynamic Transport Department to contribute towards the day to day running of the business.
The role is diverse with responsibilities ranging from:
· General Admin Duties,
· Answering and making phone calls to Customers, Suppliers & Drivers,
· Helping to manage email enquiries, sending and receiving information from Customers, Suppliers & Drivers,
· Accepting and dealing with customers’ orders, tracking orders and providing customers with updates, receiving all required information,
· Inputting Jobs to TMS software,
· Organising Sub-contractors,
· Completing Customs Paperwork,
· Booking Ferries and recording shipments,
· Sending drivers required information and helping with problems,
· Helping the Fleet Manager with all Maintenance related duties,
· Managing POD’s, CMRS and all paperwork within Transport Office,
· Assisting the Planners and other office personal,
· Adhering to Health and Safety Practices.
About the Applicant:
Desirable Skills;
· Previous Administrative Experience,
· An interest / knowledge in the Transport Sector,
· Class 1 Driving License.
Essential Skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
· Competent use of MS Office - particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook,
· Organisational skills, incl; Good time keeping and prioritizing tasks,
· High attention to detail, professional & approachable,
· Can work as part of a team as well as using their own initiative,
· Can work under pressure to meet deadlines,
· Willing to adapt to changing situations,
· Positive can-do attitude, reliable and Hard working.
Hours of Work is 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday and Saturdays as required. (These could vary to suit applicant.) Please note salary is based on experience etc,
There is a possibility for career progression from Administrator to Planner through time also.
