Business & Family Support Sales Manager
Location: Newton-le-Willows (Hybrid with travel to Local Authorities and partner agencies as required)
Hours: Part-time – 20 hours per week (flexible working available)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, proactive and commercially focused Business & Family Support Sales Manager to join our growing organisation based in Newton-le-Willows.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with proven experience working alongside Local Authorities, commissioners and children's social care services. The successful candidate will support the growth of the organisation by developing strong commissioner relationships, responding to referrals, overseeing marketing activity, maintaining recruitment compliance and helping to secure new business opportunities.
This is a varied role combining business development, compliance, administration and marketing within children's services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Local Authority commissioners, social workers and partner agencies.
- Respond promptly and professionally to social care referrals and enquiries, ensuring timely allocation of services.
- Liaise with commissioners to promote the organisation's services and secure new opportunities.
- Market and promote the organisation's family support, supervised family time, residential childcare and associated services.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support organisational growth.
- Attend commissioner meetings, provider forums and networking events.
- Prepare and distribute marketing mailers, newsletters and promotional information to Local Authorities and partner agencies.
- Coordinate marketing and advertising campaigns across digital platforms, recruitment websites and social media.
- Support recruitment campaigns to attract high-quality candidates.
- Ensure all safer recruitment processes are completed in line with statutory guidance and organisational policies, including DBS checks, references, right to work, qualifications and employment history.
- Maintain recruitment compliance records and support quality assurance processes.
- Assist with tender submissions, framework applications and business development initiatives.
- Produce reports and maintain accurate records using internal systems.
- Work closely with operational managers to ensure excellent customer service and effective service delivery.
Essential Criteria
- Experience working with Local Authorities within children's social care.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, commissioning or relationship management.
- Experience responding to social care referrals and liaising with commissioners.
- Knowledge of children's social care services, including family support, supervised family time or residential childcare.
- Experience of safer recruitment and recruitment compliance.
- Experience in marketing, advertising and promoting services.
- Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Experience preparing tenders or framework applications.
- Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding legislation.
- Experience working within an independent children's services provider.
