Parts Advisor | Portsmouth (PO3)
From £31,500 per year DOE + KPI Bonus

Monday – Friday + 1 in 3 Saturdays
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Parts Advisor to join a well-established commercial vehicle business in Portsmouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an automotive Parts professional looking to develop their career within the commercial vehicle sector, working as part of a friendly and close-knit team alongside the Service and Workshop departments.
The Role
As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct parts are sourced, ordered and supplied efficiently to customers and the workshop.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing parts advice and sales to customers
- Supporting the workshop with parts requirements for commercial vehicles
- Sourcing, ordering and receiving parts
- Managing stock control and parts returns
- Handling warranty parts and supplier queries
- Maintaining accurate records using the company's DMS
- Managing workshop consumables, PPE, tools and equipment
- Working closely with Service and Workshop teams
- Ensuring customers receive a high level of service
- Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous automotive Parts experience – essential
- Experience as a Parts Advisor within a dealership or similar automotive environment
- Car or commercial vehicle parts experience will be considered
- Good knowledge of automotive parts
- Ability to identify and source the correct parts
- Excellent communication and telephone skills
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive and positive approach
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
Commercial vehicle experience would be advantageous, but candidates with a strong car parts background will also be considered.

- Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
- Every 3rd Saturday, 8:00am – 12:00pm
