Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our team at The Dartmouth Arms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests enjoy their experience. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the smooth operation of the bar area. Previous experience in a bar environment is essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with standard recipes and safety guidelines
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders efficiently
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with legal requirements
- Assist in setting up and closing
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally and courteously
- Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety
- Restock supplies as required during shifts to ensure smooth service flow
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, food and hygiene, or serving roles is required
- Good understanding of basic maths for handling transactions and measuring drinks
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to health and safety standards
