We have an exciting opportunity for a senior assistant to join our fantastic team. This is a wraparound after-school provision based at Harton Primary School in South Shields. You must be aged over 18.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the care of the children in our WOW Club wraparound provision Monday - Friday in term time only. You will need to commit to between 3 and 15 hours per week between the hours of 3.00pm and 6.00pm.
We are seeking individuals to:
- Provide a high standard of care for children in wraparound provision.
- Work as part of a team to provide and maintain an enabling, stimulating, safe environment.
- Build and maintain a strong working partnership with parents and carers.
- Ensure the wraparound provision is run to meet the needs of the children and complies with all necessary policies.
The successful candidate must have:
- A minimum of Grade C Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
- A level 3 qualification in childcare
- Good communication skills.
- Good organisation skills.
- Relevant experience with children such as nursery work, lunch-time supervisor work, voluntary work or childminder work.
