AFTER SALES ASSISTANT
TO: THE AFTER SALES MANAGER MANCHESTER HONDA
This is a full time position and your main focus will be to ensure that customers in store are receiving attention from the relevant personnel.
You will be situated on the service reception and will be responsible for ensuring the customer is welcomed appreciated and made to feel comfortable. Training will be given in the workshop sales and service requirements of the service customer, therefore ensuring that the correct service operations are completed at the correct time. One of your responsibilities will be keeping the customer updated on progress and cost as the job progresses through our workshop. Training in every aspect of the role of service advisor will be given including the use of electronic parts catalogues. The administration of our loan bike scheme the preparation of estimates, warranty both manufacturer and Youles used bike warranty, service bulletin and safety re call notices. All the associated manufacturer related requirements around customer satisfaction and retention will become habitual all these processes are in place to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Part of your job will include the sale of both protective and fashion clothing. We will require you to move around the store ensuring customers are always welcome and being attended to. You will also be required to ensure that items are merchandised correctly and that stock levels are adequate and correct.
When the shop is quiet there will be many duties that we will require your assistance, such as stock taking and general housekeeping.
We are recruiting the attitude and will train the skills. Your attitude to customer satisfaction and your ability to ensure that the customer is being treated in a manner that you would expect is essential. This role would suit someone with a background in retail or hospitality that wants to progress into a more detailed technical and therefore rewarding position. Good communication is essential along with a can do attitude and a willingness to learn.
It is desirable that you have knowledge of the motorcycle market and a full motorcycle licence, however this is not essential. Although knowledge of our dealer management software is not necessary a level of computer literacy will be an advantage.
Remuneration will be £30000 per annum. Extra holiday days are granted for long service. After five years you are eligible for enrolment in our private medical scheme. Your hours of work will be 9.30-1800 hrs during the week 8.30-17.00hrs on a Saturday and 10.30-16.30 on a Sunday. A rota system exists which enables one weekend on followed by one weekend off.
