Operational Services is seeking to appoint a Depot & Street Scene manager to:-

Provide supervision and technical support to maximise the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the materials processing operation at the Depot
- Manage the street scene operations across North Devon, ensuring excellent levels of street cleanliness are met, including the ND Link Road, litter bins are emptied, fly tipping is collected and the main towns are kept clean
- Be based at Brynsworthy Environment Centre and have experience of dealing diplomatically with a large cross-section of employees and customers
- Work with various stakeholders to further joint working opportunities between the Council and external groups
- Be a Team member with the ability to motivate others to deliver excellent high quality services to the our customers
- To use a variety of IT apps/packages
- Responsible for carrying out inspections of field and site operations to ensure compliance of operations to safe working practices, to minimise relevant hazards
- You will be required to carry out appraisals, manage sickness levels, deal with disciplinary issues and general staffing issues
Knowledge of waste management & street cleansing operations, along with knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, desirable.
