Registered Veterinary Nurse – Lynwood Vets, Bournemouth, Dorset
Looking for a fulfilling position that suits your skills and work-life balance?
Looking for a role that offers the flexibility and support you need to pursue your personal career goals?
Then we could have the role for you at Lynwood Vets in beautiful Dorset!
We’re looking for a friendly, dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our welcoming and supportive team at our Bournemouth branch.
About us
Lynwood Vets is a five-branch, small animal, RCVS-accredited group based on the South Coast. All our branches work closely together, with frequent opportunities to get together both socially and professionally.
We have a highly experienced and supportive team, and many of our colleagues have been with Lynwood for a long time. We believe this reflects the collaborative, team-oriented culture we have created, where everyone is valued and plays their own unique role in delivering the highest standard of patient and client care.
Our Bournemouth team currently comprises six vets on rotation, six nurses, one ACA and five reception team members. We also work closely with colleagues across our other Lynwood branches, particularly where patients require more specialised care, expertise or advice.
Whilst this position is based at our Bournemouth branch, shared days between branches can be discussed where this would be beneficial for the successful candidate, particularly if you live closer to another Lynwood branch.
Our hospital site in Wimborne hosts Vets Now, providing in-house OOH care for our patients.
Lynwood Vets is an accredited Veterinary Nurse training practice. Our Student Veterinary Nurses work alongside our qualified team while also attending the Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing.
The role
As an RVN, you’ll be an integral part of our team, helping us deliver excellent patient and client care across a varied role.
Your responsibilities will include:

Working in theatre and supporting patients throughout anaesthesia and recovery

General client communication and developing strong client relationships
-

We’re open to applications from RVNs with all levels of experience. We’re looking for someone with good organisational skills, a can-do attitude and a warm, friendly persona, who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
As a training practice, we’re keen to expand our team’s skill sets and capabilities. If there are areas where you lack confidence, that’s absolutely fine - we’ll provide the support, mentoring and training you need to develop.
The role offers opportunities to develop your clinical skills, pursue areas of particular interest and complete further training or certificates. Your career satisfaction is important to us, and we place a strong emphasis on supporting professional development.
With our mix of urban and rural clients, there’s a wide variety of cases and plenty of opportunities to develop your nursing skills.
