Painter – MOD Refurbishment Projects
Location: Blandford Forum / Poole
Pay Rate: £180 per day
Hours: 8:00am–5:00pm
Duration: Ongoing, potentially up to 5 years
We are currently looking for experienced Painters to join our team working across a number of MOD (Ministry of Defence) sites, carrying out high-volume internal refurbishment works.
This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and hardworking Painters looking for long-term, ongoing work with plenty of repeat projects and consistent volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out full internal redecorations
- Preparing surfaces ready for painting and decorating
- Painting walls and ceilings
- Painting woodwork and doors
- Completing preparation, filling, sanding and finishing works
- Working to a high standard and maintaining attention to detail
- Working efficiently to meet tight project deadlines
- Working independently or as part of a small team
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
What to Expect
- Work will be carried out on active MOD sites
- All operatives must be able to pass relevant security and site clearance checks
- Tight turnaround times, with units needing to be completed efficiently and to programme
- You will be provided with a scope of works for each unit
- You will be expected to work independently or as part of a small team
- Ongoing and repeat work available for the right candidates
- Potential for work to continue for up to 5 years
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter/Decorator
- Experience carrying out full internal redecorations
- Good knowledge of preparation and painting techniques
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Must be willing and able to complete MOD security/site clearance
