The Opportunity
The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Data Officer to support our Skills, Education and Employment team with the development of data capture, analysis and reporting.
The Data Officer will support with the development and maintenance of the internal systems and processes required to capture, analyse and report on performance for the Skills, Education and Employment Team. This will cover a wide range of data sets such as the financial, output and outcome performance data of current skills and employment programmes, as well as comparisons to prior years delivery and national performance, providing data and insights to inform decision-making by senior colleagues.
The Skills, Education and Employment teamwork in partnership with Local Authorities, Government Departments and other key Skills, Education and Employment stakeholders to ensure the Combined Authority has a strong and robust strategic and evidence led approach to skills, education and employment investment that addresses the challenges and ambitions of our growing economy
What you will bring
- Experience of developing and managing systems to track and report on performance in a complex operational environment
- Experience of capturing, analysing and reporting complex data and information
- A good understanding and experience of a range of software to support recording of data where multiple users contribute to its collation (e.g. advanced Excel, Point live, PowerBI)
- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
