Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef De Partie to join our professional culinary team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong background in kitchen operations and culinary arts. The Senior Chef De Partie will be responsible for supervising junior kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting in menu development.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and meal preparation to meet customer expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste
- Serve dishes with attention to detail, presentation, and quality control
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery during busy periods
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant setting
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous experience as a Chef De Partie or similar supervisory role is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
