We're looking for a Family Solicitor with between NQ and 2 years' PQE to join our established Family Team, based in either our Torquay or Plymouth office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who is ready to take ownership of their own matters whilst continuing to develop under the guidance of experienced Family Partners and senior lawyers.
You'll work with a highly regarded team advising clients on a broad range of family matters, building strong client relationships and developing your technical expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment. We are seeking a lawyer who:

You'll advise clients on a broad range of family matters, including:

Divorce and separation.

Financial remedy matters.
-
Cohabitation disputes.
-
Child arrangements and children's matters.
-
Civil partnership issues.
-
Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Protective injunctions and urgent family law applications.
-
Negotiated settlements and dispute resolution.

Supporting clients through emotionally sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
You'll also:

Manage your own caseload with support from senior colleagues where required.

Draft applications, statements, consent orders and other legal documentation.

Attend client meetings, mediations and court hearings.

Liaise with barristers, experts and other professionals.

Build strong client relationships and contribute to an excellent client experience.

Participate in networking, marketing and business development activities.

Identify opportunities for cross-referral across the wider firm
We're interested in hearing from candidates who:

Are qualified Solicitors, Legal Executives or equivalent with between NQ and 2 years' PQE.

Have experience of private family law matters.

Are comfortable managing their own files and client relationships.

Demonstrate strong communication and drafting skills.

Show empathy, professionalism and excellent client care.

Have strong organisational and time management skills.

Are proactive, collaborative and eager to learn.

Advocacy experience is beneficial but not essential.
