We are looking for a Trainee Drainage Tanker Operative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced HGV driver who is willing to learn drainage tanker operations. Full on-the-job training is provided, previous drainage experience is preferred but not required.
Key Duties:
- Driving and operating HGV Combination Tankers
- Assisting with drainage works including septic tanks, interceptors, and pumping stations
- Using suction hoses and jetting equipment
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance
- Completing job paperwork and waste documentation
- Working safely on customer sites and highways
Requirements:
- Full UK HGV licence (Category C or C+E) – minimum 2 years held
- Valid Driver CPC
- Good understanding of UK HGV driving regulations
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Reliable, punctual, and safety focused
- Ability to listen and learn from your piers
- Be available to work away from home when required
- Carry out works on a variation of shifts
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Variable shifts
- 45 hours per week
- Overtime available and paid
- Call-out rota Upon Completion of training (paid extra)
