Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our vibrant team at our Wedding Venue, Water's Edge at Ewen. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your contributions will be vital in creating memorable dining experiences, whether through direct customer interaction or supporting our catering services.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations efficiently.
- Provide menu information and recommendations to guests, showcasing your knowledge of our offerings.
- Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff promptly.
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during food preparation and service.
- Support catering events by helping set up, serve food, and clean up afterwards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for a positive resolution.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.
- Assist with bartending duties as required, including preparing beverages and serving drinks responsibly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who can also work independently when required.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for the hospitality industry with a willingness to learn new skills related to catering and bartending.
