We’re recruiting for a hands-on Team Leader to support adults with learning disabilities, older people and additional support needs. This role combines direct support work with line management responsibility, so you’ll continue working directly with the people you support while leading and managing a team of Support Workers.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading, line managing and supporting a team of Support Workers
- Providing supervision, coaching, guidance and feedback
- Supporting staff performance, training and development
- Coordinating rotas and helping ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Working directly with individuals to promote independence, choice and wellbeing
- Supporting and reviewing care plans and risk assessments
- Ensuring records and documentation are accurate and up to date
- Supporting safeguarding, health and safety and quality standards
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service when on duty
- Working with families, carers and other professionals
Skills & Experience
Previous line management or formal staff supervision experience within adult social care or a similar environment.
You may currently be a Senior Support Worker with management responsibilities, Team Leader, Care Supervisor, Deputy Manager or experienced care professional.
You should have a good understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, care plans and risk assessments, along with the confidence to lead and support a team.
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, dementia or complex needs would be beneficial.
A Level 3 Adult Care qualification would be desirable, or willingness to work towards one.
