Platform 1864 are looking to recruit a senior sous chef to join our small, talented kitchen team. The right candidate must have passion and dedication for the hospitality industry and must be able to work on a full time and permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have had a minimum 5 years experience in a busy kitchen working under a Head Chef and alongside other team members.
Platform 1864 serve both pub classics and more a la carte style dishes often inspired by the best Scotland has to offer in the way of produce. The kitchen operates 7-days a week and all chefs work 5 days out of 7 with 2 days off together. Platform 1864 is looking for a chef who can bring a new, positive energy to the team who has a real passion for being in the kitchen and someone who will contribute new ideas to our menus.
There is the option of live-in accommodation for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively run the kitchen during the Head Chef's days off
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Ensure Food Hygiene & Safety Standards
- Managing stock, waste and ordering processes
- Assist in the training and development of the Junior staff
