We are a traditional English tea room, restaurant, shop & boutique hotel, serving wonderful hand-made foods - English breakfasts, luncheons, afternoon cream teas, pies, cakes, baked goods and more.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us at our historic Tea Rooms which have been open for over 175 years and are named after the famous tarts we bake, originally a favourite treat of King Henry VIII! We are open to the public 7 days a week: 9am till 6pm.
You will have experience of working in a busy restaurant or a similar 'challenging' environment and if not, you need to be super-sharp and a quick learner. Normal duties will include (but are not limited to) serving customers and putting orders together for the shop and restaurant, 'running to and from kitchen and tables', cleaning and clearing tables, washing-up, providing room services for our guest accommodations to a high standard. Staff will be required to assist with other reasonable duties not listed here as needed to support the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

We are interested in personality, excellent communication and customer service skills ensuring all of our guests receive the best service and everyone enjoys their working life. You must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English very well.
Our colleagues enjoy a fast-paced, friendly and rewarding working atmosphere and very good aggregate net pay (pay is made up of basic plus share of DSC/ service charge). The maximum aggregate rate (including DSC normal estimate) band would depend on experience and suitability.
