Competent assistant stud manager/head stud groom wanted to join busy small team at a Stud and Veterinary Centre in Gloucestershire working alongside existing assistant stud manager and under the Stud Manager. You will be required to assist in overseeing the day-to-day running of the stud ensuring horse welfare and biosecurity is of the highest standards. This is a varied job role which will include all usual yard duties, assisting vets, equine first aid, foaling down, stallion collections and admin.
Must be a good team player with the ability to use your own initiative.
Good communication skills are essential as well as a high level of equine experience and knowledge. Must be competent at foaling down, handling stallions, foals and young stock and be able to lead by example with high levels of horse care and management. 7.5t licence a bonus.
