Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, maintaining food safety standards, and driving the overall success of the establishment. Previous experience in restaurant or hotel environments, along with supervisory expertise, is essential for this position.
Duties
- Lead and supervise bar staff, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, including basic food preparation and cooking when necessary
- Manage daily operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards
- Organise staff schedules and delegate responsibilities effectively to optimise team performance
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly to enhance guest experience
- Assist with serving customers during busy periods to maintain service quality
- Develop promotional strategies to attract new patrons and retain existing clientele
- Maintain a welcoming environment that reflects the establishment’s brand and values
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or hotel environments with a focus on hospitality and food service
- Supervising experience with demonstrated team management capabilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Skills in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques are highly desirable
- Experience in managing bar operations, including barista experience is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers
- Previous experience in serving within a hospitality setting is preferred
- A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
Pay: £25,024.70-£30,000.00 per year
