Westbury Haulage is looking for a Class 1 driver who wants to get into plant and low loader transport.
Previous low loader experience is not essential. We are happy to properly train the right person, but you must be practical, willing to learn, able to use your own initiative and prepared to take responsibility as your training progresses.
The work will involve moving plant and machinery using our urban low loader, including deliveries into sites with restricted or difficult access.
You must have:
- A Class 1 C+E licence
- Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- A full UK driving licence
- A practical and sensible approach
- Confidence working around plant and machinery
- A willingness to learn how to load, unload and secure equipment correctly
- The ability to deal directly with customers professionally
- Pride in looking after the truck, trailer and customers’ machinery
- Flexibility for early starts and occasional nights out when required
Plant, agricultural, recovery, beavertail, HIAB or machinery experience would be an advantage, but attitude and ability are more important.
This is a genuine opportunity to learn specialist plant transport work. We will provide the training, but we will not constantly chase or supervise someone who is not willing to put the effort in.
Pay: From £15.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
