Following the continued growth of our business and the award of several major contracts, we are looking to recruit a qualified Working Qualifying Supervisor (QS) Electrician to join our expanding electrical division.
The Role
As our Working Qualifying Supervisor (QS) Electrician, you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of domestic electrical installations across multiple void residential properties. This is a hands-on role where you will work alongside our electrical team while taking technical responsibility for the company's electrical works.
Working across a large programme of void property refurbishments, you will carry out installations, inspections, testing and certification, provide technical leadership, and ensure all electrical work complies with BS 7671 and Competent Person Scheme requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Typical duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Acting as the company's Working Qualifying Supervisor (QS) for domestic electrical works.
- Working alongside electricians across multiple void residential properties.
- Supervising electricians and electrical apprentices.
- Carrying out first and second fix electrical installations.
- Completing full and partial domestic rewires.
- Installing consumer units, circuits, lighting, sockets, smoke alarms and extractor fans.
- Conducting inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
- Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and producing accurate certification.
- Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out remedial works.
- Ensuring all works comply with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and current Building Regulations.
- Providing technical support, mentoring and guidance to the electrical team.
- Liaising with project managers and site supervisors to ensure programmes are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, health & safety and customer service across all sites.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a working Qualifying Supervisor (QS) or the ability to satisfy the requirements of a Competent Person Scheme.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in domestic electrical installation.
- Experience carrying out EICRs, inspection, testing and certification.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent understanding of BS 7671 and current electrical regulations.
- Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently while supervising and supporting a team.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
It would be advantageous if you have:
- NICEIC, NAPIT or other Competent Person Scheme experience.
- ECS Gold Card.
- Experience working within social housing, void properties or residential refurbishment programmes.
- Solar PV and Battery Storage qualifications.
- EV Charging qualification.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
