Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the smooth operation of our busy establishment. Duties
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, serving, and customer service.
- Supervise and support team members, including front-of-house staff, kitchen personnel, and baristas, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service.
- Monitor food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all areas of the restaurant.
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee training programmes to maintain a motivated and competent team.
- Assist in inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Support culinary activities such as food production and cooking to uphold quality standards.
- Handle guest enquiries or complaints professionally to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives by promoting special events or menu items to increase patronage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the restaurant environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, with strong team management skills.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations; previous kitchen or hotel experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining high standards of service.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Experience with hospitality management systems or POS systems is desirable.
