Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in our home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Previous experience in care environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, activities and mobility.
- Support individuals with their emotional and social needs to promote independence and dignity
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with organisational policies
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care delivery
Requirements
- Experience working within a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential
- Good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
- Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to providing respectful and person-centred care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to different shifts
