The Manchester Stage Crew Company Ltd are hiring for an exciting new role.
Do you have a passion for working on festivals, on tour or working backstage within the arts industry but would like something with less travel?
We are looking for a Crew Booking Coordinator to start this autumn. The right candidate will have a background in live music events, whether this be previous jobs or voluntary work, be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and have a good knowledge of Manchester.
The role will be 16-20 hours, Monday to Friday from £20,000+ per year. Hours worked outside of this (mornings, evenings and weekends) will be between £16 and £18 per hour, dependant on experience.
The role will entail
- Booking event crew on to shifts using our CRM, whilst taking in to account the requirements of the show and each crew members' qualifications and skill sets
- Communicate effectively with crew members to confirm availability and shifts, provide updates, and resolve any scheduling conflicts
- Provide solutions for any last-minute changes and communicate this to any parties involved
- Liaise with crew chiefs before and after shows.
- Liaise with reps or promoters prior to each show to minimise any last-minute changes
- Meet with the office team and directors to discuss any feedback given
- Support the development of efficient booking processes to improve overall workflow and crew satisfaction
The right candidate will
- Be able to manage their own time efficiently
- Be flexible with working hours - early mornings (load ins), evenings (load outs) and weekends are essential
- Have a good knowledge of health and safety laws
- Strong communication skills
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Live within 30-40 minutes of Manchester City Centre
- Be able to travel to venues as and when required
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and CRM systems
The role will be an initial 6 month temporary contract, moving to a rolling contract after this period.
