HGV Class 1 Drivers – Washington
Our client, a leading high-street supermarket brand, is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) Drivers to join their growing team in Washington.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering chilled and ambient goods to a large store network. This is a 7-day, 24-hour operation, with all shift patterns and availability considered.
Requirements
· Proven Right to Work in the UK
· Valid Cat C+E (Class 1) licence
· Valid Driver CPC (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card
· No more than 6 penalty points (No DR, DD, or CD endorsements)
· Minimum 6 months’ Class 1 driving experience
All candidates will be required to complete an on-site assessment, including:
· Driver theory assessment
· Yard manoeuvre assessment
· On-road driving assessment
Pay Rates
All breaks are paid - overtime applies after 45 hours worked per week.
Days (04:00–12:00)
- Standard: £14.80 per hour
- Overtime: £21.72 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £29.60 per hour
Backs (12:00–21:00)
- Standard: £16.01 per hour
- Overtime: £22.93 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £32.02 per hour
Nights (21:00–04:00)
- Standard: £17.68 per hour
- Overtime: £24.60 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £35.36 per hour
