What you’ll be doing
Underwrite & assess credit risk
Analyse bridging loan applications, assess borrower creditworthiness, exit strategies, and property security, while identifying and mitigating key risks.
Structure commercially sound deals
Develop lending proposals with appropriate terms (LTV, pricing, conditions), balancing risk exposure with commercial opportunity.
Ensure due diligence & compliance
Complete thorough due diligence, ensuring all cases meet AML, KYC, and regulatory requirements, with robust documentation and audit trails.
Manage stakeholder & broker relationships
Work closely with brokers, solicitors, valuers, and internal teams, providing clear credit rationale and supporting deal flow.
Own pipeline & delivery
Manage cases from initial review through to completion, prioritising effectively to meet SLAs and ensure timely deal progression.
About You
What you’ll bring to the team
Strong bridging & property finance expertise
Experience in bridging, specialist lending, or property finance underwriting, with a solid understanding of UK property markets and lending structures.
Technical credit knowledge
In-depth knowledge of LTV, GDV, valuation methodologies, and exit strategies, with the ability to assess complex lending scenarios quickly and accurately.
Analytical & decision-making strength
Highly analytical with strong judgement, able to make sound credit decisions in fast-paced and time-sensitive environments.
Communication & relationship management skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and clearly articulate decisions.
Commercial awareness with risk focus
A commercially minded approach combined with a strong risk management mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Working hours
Hybrid working 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday. (2-3 days in the office)
