Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, ensuring variety and quality
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control wastage to optimise resources
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve skills and performance
- Ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours while maintaining consistency
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor cleanliness of the kitchen environment and enforce safety protocols
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards
- Experience working in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Sound understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
