Role: MIG Welder Fabricator
Salary: £19.10 PH £28.65
Hours: Monday to Thursday – Day Shift
Location: Coventry
We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator to join our client’s busy production facility. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer with strong long-term career prospects. To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication, with the ability to work from engineering drawings and build to exacting quality standards.

MIG Welder Fabricator – Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG and MAG welding on medium-heavy steel fabrications (2mm–10mm)
- Build, fit, and tack weld fabrications from engineering drawings
- Ensure all work meets build specifications and quality standards (BS EN ISO 9001)
- Visually inspect fabrications and identify any faults or rework required
- Support recovery programmes and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment using PPE correctly
- Work flexibly across departments and assist team leaders when required
- Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
MIG Welder Fabricator – Requirements
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder Fabricator, Welder / Fitter, or similar role
- Experience welding and fabricating medium-heavy gauge steel
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and build specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Welding or fabrication qualifications are desirable
- BS EN 287 coded welding and pendant crane experience are advantageous
- Self-motivated, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn new skills and move between departments
- Ability to work in confined spaces and carry out occasional heavy lifting
