Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to customers while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own delivery vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload goods, ensuring all items arrive in excellent condition.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Carry out routine vehicle inspections and ensure your vehicle is roadworthy.
- Complete delivery records, receipts, and other required documentation accurately.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service at every delivery.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using GPS or maps.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time while maintaining high safety standards.
Requirements
- A valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record (required).
- You must have your own reliable, roadworthy vehicle (required).
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Commercial driving experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and driving best practices.
- Ability to use GPS navigation and plan efficient routes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry, load, and unload packages as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
