Your Role as a Children's Therapeutic Practitioner
As part of our caring team and due to the nature of this position, candidates must be able to complete a range of shift patterns including days, evenings, weekends and nights.
You will:
- Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children in your home
- Work closely with our Senior Support Workers and Deputy Manager
- Support children’s personal development and well-being
- Help children build life skills, emotional strength, and social confidence
- Collaborate with professionals like therapists, teachers, and social workers to develop personalised care plans
- Use kind and calm de-escalation techniques in times of distress or crisis
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Advocate for each child’s voice to be heard and their rights to be respected
- Engage positively with families and guardians to keep them informed and involved

Requirements:
- Willingness to complete NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma (provided after probation)
- Any experience working with children or in a care setting is a plus—but not essential
