Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence – Essential.
Job Purpose
To safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 vehicle collecting commercial waste from customer locations while maintaining high standards of customer service, health and safety, and compliance with transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Always Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle safely and legally.

Collect and transport commercial waste in accordance with company and environmental regulations.

Complete daily vehicle checks and reports any defects promptly.

Ensure all collections are completed within scheduled timeframes.

Follow health and safety procedures and safe working practices.

Maintain accurate records, including vehicle and collection documentation.

Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.

Work collaboratively with loaders and site teams as required.

Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
Experience Required
-
Previous experience driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.

Experience within waste management, recycling, or commercial collections is desirable.

Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations.

Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Qualifications & Requirements

Additional Information
Pay Rate: £22.20 per hour (UMB).

Bank Holidays and overtime paid at time and a half.
-
Ad Hoc Temporary Assignment.

Up to 4 days per week.

9.25-hour shifts.

Monday to Friday working pattern.

One rest day within the week.
-
No DBS check required.

No references required.
