About KareHero
KareHero is on a mission to simplify the adult care journey for families. We have long-term partnerships with almost 30 enterprises and provide coverage to 1.1 million families. We help families find, fund and manage adult social care.
As part of the Care Delivery team, we are looking for the right person to seed our ability to support families of children with additional needs.
You will be offering personalised action plans and practical support to caregivers navigating complex care needs. After successful completion of our onboarding program, you will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to make a meaningful impact on caregivers and their families.
What the job involves:
- Carry and manage a caseload, helping caregivers navigate complex problems and finding practical solutions.
- Delivering advice, information and support via phone, email and digital channels, aimed at helping caregivers and their families.
- Deliver expert care navigation across all pathways: funding, Power of Attorney, hospital discharge, finding and arranging care, and wellbeing support.
- Supporting care-related tasks, e.g.conducting care searches, navigating local authority services, and advising on funding and later-life benefits.
- Contribute to the knowledge base, facilitation scripts, and continuous service improvement.
- Hold a senior quality and coaching remit - supporting newer Care Experts, reviewing work, raising the bar.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years experience with proven delivery of care navigation, advice, or casework to a high standard - confident with a caseload and sensitive conversations under pressure.
- A background in children's social work, SEND, or family support - and an interest in helping us grow support for families of children with additional needs. This includes a direct experience with ADHD, autism, or learning-difficulty journeys (EHCPs, SEND support, CAMHS).
- Passionate about engaging with people and providing empathetic support - our caregivers face challenging circumstances where you can positively influence their experiences through empathy and understanding.
- Excellent listening and questioning skills to enable users the opportunity to explain their problem(s), provide structured advice, while maintaining time-management of meetings.
- Nice to have: Lived experience as a carer or parent-carer; startup or scale-up experience.
Why Join Us?
- High level of ownership and autonomy. Joining a high-growth scale-up early means your scope, responsibility and career can expand quickly as we do; the ceiling isn't a fixed pay band.
- Flexibility and balance: hybrid working and a culture that respects your life outside work, a genuine change from the always-on demands of frontline statutory roles.
- Shape something from the ground up. You'll seed an entirely new area of support for children with additional needs, with real influence over how it's built rather than inheriting a fixed system.Location:
