Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality environment, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is desirable, along with a passion for providing outstanding customer care. Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the all areas.
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Support catering events by setting up, serving, and clearing tables as required
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Handle customer enquiries promptly and courteously, providing excellent hospitality at all times
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as needed
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales
- Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly
- Process customer payments and operate cash register
- Working throughout the different Food and Beverage outlets as required
- Ensure any online training issued is completed within required timelines
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is preferred
- Experience working in a restaurant or bar environment is advantageous
- Barista experience is considered a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and customer service best practices
- A friendly, professional attitude with strong organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy setting
