The Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable A-Level Physics Tutor to teach the WJEC A-Level Physics specification. The successful candidate must also be confident teaching A-Level Mechanics, as this forms an integral part of our programme.
Applicants should hold at least a BSc (Hons) degree in Physics or a closely related subject. A recognised teaching qualification or significant teaching/tutoring experience is desirable.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent understanding of the WJEC A-Level Physics specification, which will be assessed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1 hour 15 minute tutorials covering specific topics from the WJEC A-Level Physics specification.
- Prepare and teach clear, structured notes supported by examination-style and past paper questions.
- Teach A-Level Mechanics to a high standard.
- Develop students' understanding of examination techniques and WJEC mark schemes.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their target grades.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Deliver intensive Easter and Whitsun revision courses as part of Spectrum Tutorials' revision programme.
Person Specification
- BSc (Hons) degree in Physics or a closely related subject.
- Excellent knowledge of WJEC A-Level Physics and Mechanics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Well organised, reliable and enthusiastic.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is desirable.

Pay: £40.00-£80.00 per hour
