We're looking for an experienced Scaffolding Supervisor to join our team and take ownership of site operations across our projects.

Key Responsibilities
Legal & Safety Authority
- Statutory Inspections: Perform and record the weekly "7-Day Inspections" required by the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
- Handovers: rigorous inspection of new structures followed by the issuing of Handover Certificates.
- Enforcement: Strictly police SG4:22 (Preventing Falls) standards. Ensure harnesses are worn and clipped on and manage the "Scaffolder's Safe Zone".
- RAMS: Maintain and adapt Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to reflect changing site conditions (e.g., groundworks, weather).
Operational Leadership
- Team Allocation: Working with the contract manager and operational director, assign gangs to specific tasks based on skill level and programme priority. Balance experience by pairing trainees with advanced scaffolders.
- Material Logistics: Forecast material needs (tubes, boards, fittings) 1-2 weeks in advance to prevent downtime. Manage stock control to reduce wastage and loss of expensive fittings.
- Technical Compliance: Interpret complex engineering drawings for bespoke structures (truss-outs, temporary roofs) and ensure the build adheres to NASC TG20:21 compliance sheets.
Commercial Protection
- Variation Management: Identify requests from the client that are outside the contract. Immediately raise Daywork Sheets or Variation Orders (VOs) for this extra work.
- Signature Capture: Ensure all Daywork sheets and variation orders are signed by the client before leaving the site to guarantee payment.
Core Daily Tasks
- Safe Start: Deliver daily briefing on hazards, exclusion zones, and specific tasks. Ensure PPE standards being maintained.
- Permit Management: Obtain "Permits to Load" or "Permits to Work" from the Principal Contractor.
- Compliance Walks: Walk the job to check ties, bracing, and SG4 compliance (tethers/harnesses).
- Commercial Admin: Process Daywork or variation orders for any extra adaptations requested that morning.
- Quality Control: Snag the day’s builds, ensuring ties are proof-tested and tags are updated (Green "Safe" or Red "Do Not Use").
- Reporting: Verify daily Scaffolder timesheets and submit material requests to the office.
- Team management: Ensure all inductions for new Scaffolders are completed adequately, all scaffolding cards held are in date and all driving license checks are completed.
ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience as a Scaffolding site foreman or charge hand
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills

- Recent experience as a supervisor in a large Scaffolding company
