Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Removal Man to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient transportation of goods, furniture, and equipment. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience in driving commercial vehicles, particularly flatbed lorries. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting clients through local and national moves.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload items using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment
- Drive commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to various locations
- Assist with the organisation and securing of cargo during transit
- Ensure all items are transported securely and arrive in good condition
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and requirements
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Assist with warehouse organisation and inventory management as needed
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role, preferably with delivery driver experience
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, including flatbed lorry operation
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Warehouse experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and lift heavy items safely
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to integrate within the team
