We are looking for a passionate, caring and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and dedicated team.
This is a full-time position for an experienced practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality care, learning and development opportunities for young children in a warm, nurturing and homely environment.
About the Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing. You will work closely with the wider team to provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, secure and confident.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0–4 years.
Supporting children's individual learning and development through play and meaningful experiences.
Building warm, positive and responsive relationships with children.
Planning and providing engaging activities based on children's interests and developmental needs.
Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development.
Encouraging children's independence, confidence and curiosity.
Following the Curriculum for Wales and relevant early years frameworks.
Completing observations and contributing to children's learning records and planning.
Working in partnership with parents and carers to support children's development.
Maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating environment.
Following safeguarding, health and safety, food hygiene and other nursery policies and procedures.
Working effectively as part of a supportive and professional team.
Taking an active role in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Level 3 qualified in Early Years/Childcare or equivalent.
Experienced in working within a nursery or early years setting.
Warm, caring and nurturing in their approach.
Reliable, hardworking and committed.
A confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues.
Passionate about children's learning, development and wellbeing.
Able to work as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
Organised and able to maintain high standards of practice.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Positive, enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the wider nursery team.
