About the Role
We’re recruiting a flexible Bank Reading Strategy Coordinator to provide cover for our Reading Strategy Lead at HMP Hewell.
You’ll support prisoners with reading, literacy and numeracy, deliver reading groups, promote reading for pleasure, work with prison partners and contribute to initiatives that improve engagement across the prison.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced literacy tutor looking for flexible work.

Essential
Teaching or tutoring experience
Strong literacy knowledge
Passion for reading
Good IT and organisational skills
HMPPS vetting clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
Prison education
Library or literacy experience
Functional Skills English
Phonics knowledge
Reading intervention experience
Pay: £15.50 per hour
