Construction Site Supervisor – White Wall / Hygienic Cladding (Black Hat)
Location: Somerset (Site-based)
Salary: £25.00 – £32.00 per hour (Dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Contract / Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Standard site hours, overtime potential)
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Black Hat Site Supervisor specializing in "White Wall" (Hygienic Cladding / Partitioning Systems) for an upcoming project in Somerset. You will lead a small team of installers, ensuring the project meets strict quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage daily site operations, delegate tasks to installers, and maintain the build schedule.
- Hygienic Cladding Oversight: Supervise and quality-check the installation of PVC/composite hygienic wall systems (e.g., Whiterock).
- Technical Quality Control: Ensure perfect execution of thermoforming, hot-welding, and seamless jointing.
- Health & Safety: Enforce site safety rules, deliver tool box talks, and manage RAMS and COSHH compliance for adhesives.
- Client Handover: Interface with site management and complete digital QA checklists for final sign-off.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certificate (Essential)
- Valid CSCS Gold Card (Supervisory) or Black Card (Essential)
- Proven supervisory experience specifically within White Wall / Hygienic Cladding internal fit-outs
- Strong understanding of thermoforming, substrate preparation, and moisture testing
- Valid First Aid at Work certificate (Desirable)
- Right to work in the UK and reliable transport to get to sites across Somerset
