- Foster positive relationships through mentoring, encouraging confidence and self-esteem in those you support.
- Support individuals in engaging with community activities, educational programs, or recreational pursuits.
- Maintain accurate records of care plans, progress notes, and incident reports to ensure seamless communication within the team.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to develop tailored support strategies.
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or vulnerable adults in a caring or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others towards positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to teach new skills or concepts in an engaging and supportive manner.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively listen, advise, and build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in health and social care are advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
