Despatch and Goods In Manager

Halls of Scotland - General Manager
Role Purpose:
To ensure efficiency and accuracy throughout the site areas; Despatch and goods in. Working closely with other site managers and playing a key role in the team to ensure best practice is carried out on site at all times. Driving and delivering accuracy, attention to detail, site and commercial efficiencies.
Key Accountabilities
· Managing the despatch and goods in areas. Ensuring accuracy, pallet specification and physical stock control are maintained at all times.
· Working closely with the planning and stock administration team, ensuring site manufacturing stock requirement requests are met in good time and in place for production to ensure no line downtime.
· Working closely with the stock administration team to drive continual improvement and accuracy.
· Managing all loading and offloading of vehicles to site, implementing a schedule of deliveries and outgoings alongside the planning team and transport to allow the site to work to best practise.
· Ensuring the loads are all loaded to the highest standard at all times.
· Managing non confirming deliveries (i.e. damages / broken pallets / load safety) to ensure these are corrected in the most effective and commercial manner and reported to ensure the commercial impact to the company can be recovered.
· Managing the forklift and yard team to ensure maximum efficiency, in addition also managing the yard to ensure it is always maintained and kept to audit standards at all times.
· Overseeing and controlling dolav, basket and pallet count on site, working closely with the administration team to ensure these are logged correctly and stocks are well maintained and rotated effectively to meet the needs to site and also group.
· Working directly with Health and Safety to ensure rack inspections across site have taken place and meeting legal compliance. Where non-conformances arise driving the best possible solutions and ensuring these are achieved.
· Working closely with the Health and Safety team to continually improve health and safety within your area of control.
· Co-ordinating forklift breakdowns and repairs.
· Co-ordinating forklift training licences renewals.
· Maintaining an equipment log and allocation to members of the team inclusive of forklift serial numbers.
· Working closely with group transport on truck loading efficiencies.
· Working closely with the site technical team to ensure that audit standards are achieved at all times.
· Being a driver of generating positivity and ‘can do’ attitude on site.
· Ensuring food safety, legality and quality requirements are always met.

Qualifications & Experience
- Excel literate
- Ability to work from Prestwick (KA9 2NS) on a fulltime basis.
Hours of Work
Monday – Friday 7.00am – 4.00pm
Salary
Competitive dependent on experience.
