We are looking for an experienced, commercial, and food-loving Account Manager to join the FERMARY and Spring Broth team. We are two dynamic, wellness-focused food brands—FERMARY (premium ferments) and Spring Broth (chef-grade bone broth)—on a significant growth trajectory. This role will also identify key customer opportunities for the group to supply fresh produce directly to customers based within the existing delivery routes.
You will play a pivotal role in growing our business by managing and expanding our wholesale and retail partnerships. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing wholesale relationships, a deep passion for high-quality food, and a strong understanding of the premium retail landscape. You will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with our commercial, production, and marketing teams to elevate our brands’ presence in the market.
Company Overview:
We are two forward-thinking, British-based brands dedicated to wellness, sustainability, and transparency. From "seed to jar" ferments to nutrient-dense, farm-traceable bone broth, we are committed to nourishing our community and celebrating the best of British produce. We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our partners and being an integral part of the UK’s thriving specialty food scene.
Responsibilities:
● Wholesale Account Management: Take ownership of key wholesale accounts, acting as the primary point of contact. Ensure consistent communication, excellent service, and proactive relationship building to increase brand loyalty and order volumes.
● Business Development: Proactively identify and secure new wholesale and independent retail opportunities, building a robust pipeline that aligns with our brand positioning in premium wellness and specialty food.
● Retail Activation: Develop strategies to support our presence in national and independent retail partners. This includes coordinating sampling sessions, managing merchandising/shelf presence, and ensuring our brand stories are communicated effectively to consumers.
● Sales Performance & Strategy: Report directly to the M.D. with insights on sales performance, category trends, and competitor activity. Use data to identify opportunities for range expansion within current accounts.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Production and Operations teams to ensure demand planning is accurate and that we are delivering on our service commitments to our partners. Collaborate with Marketing to develop sales assets (brochures, POS, digital content) that support retail sell-through.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Wholesale Experience: 2–3+ years of proven experience in managing wholesale/B2B accounts within the food and drink industry.
● Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial principles, margin management, and the ability to apply these to sustainable business growth.
● Food Passion: A genuine passion for the wellness, specialty, and premium food sector; a deep interest in fermentation and high-quality, farm-traceable nutrition.
● Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to manage senior stakeholder relationships.
● Proactive & Organized: Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, scaling business environment.
